Sheepherders

Lately I've been wishing for a way to spend time with a sheep or goat herder. There's lots of significance there, and today I got my first chance.

You might know that I am living somewhat near the geological site said to be the birthplace of Jesus. That the news of Jesus' birth was spread to sheepherders first is cool. Even now, there are many shepherds around where I live... they walk through the field outside my kitchen window. Often I'll be doing the dishes and staring out at 70 sheep and goats walking around 30 feet away. 

Today was my first chance to really be out in the field, where the sheepherders and sheep/goats are. A friend invited me to see what he does, where it is. And what a beautiful scene!
