ECC
The weekend deserves a post.
I went to Seattle for the second time in my life. Arrived Wednesday night and crashed at the place of a friend I met studying in Morocco in 2003. With her and two teammates, I got to see the Ballard Locks and the Troll, ate at Dish and Paseo's. Awesome day.
After driving to Burlington and going to sleep on Thursday night, I got a call from teammate Asa who had moments before been in a car wreck on I-5. Wow! Scary. All four guys walked away safely and we're lucky for seatbelts. Phew.
On Friday of ECC, Chain didn't play so well. Stepped it up Saturday, going 3 and 0 against Bravo, Sockeye, and GOAT. Pause. We beat Sockeye for the first time in our team's history. Got a sweet victory against Ring in the Quarters before a tough loss to Boston in the semi-finals. Now we doubly owe them. Pictured here is me on the mark against Seattle Sockeye

Leaves the team satisfied with the weekend but hungry for more in the tournaments to come. Up next is Chesapeake Open in Maryland the weekend after next. One big day of practice this Saturday and two hard track workouts between now and then. Throwing and resting in between. I'm pumped.
