Death, or something approaching it

I vowed within the last week to extemporaneously write about the issue.

Its an under-discussed topic, in general. When was the last time death marched into a casual conversation of yours? Or even a serious one? For some, that's probably more recently than others.

But its important to talk about it. For one, its sort of empowering to bring out into the open something that we are so ignorant of. Once we recognize our ignorance, we can start to build a kind of dialogue about it.

I'm reading Julian Barnes' "Nothing to Be Frightened Of," which isn't as enjoyable as it is helpful; but it's a little of both. So that's cool.

That's all I got for now. Not looking for anything in specific, but the comments link is always available to ya. I appreciate your constant visiting, reading, and commenting.

it's especially hard when someone tells you it's coming. do you tell him all the good things you think of him since you won't be able to say them again? or do you try to make him laugh, keep his spirits up or distract him from what's coming?

it's been a tough time. dialogue is a good idea.

I see death as natural and needed part of what adds quality to the life cycle...really don't feel any different about it than I do about birth. Ying and Yang so to speak.
