Here's a short list of anecdotes leading up to and including the night Barack Obama was elected the next president of the United States.

A year and a half ago:

• I blogged for the first time on this year's presidential campaign
• I found out about possible volunteering for Obama, which I did in LA and ATL
• I tried to read but didn't finish 'Dreams from My Father'

In February of this year:

• Super Tuesday
• Obama didn't lose the day entirely, he actually gained Oba-mentum
• McCain pulled ahead

At 11:00, this happened:

• I embraced my parents as Pennsylvania and Ohio were subsequently announced in Obama's favor and the Election was called...
• I saw a coworker running and screaming out the door of the watch party building...
• I bought another drink and witnessed a pep rally/parade/party on Peachtree St...
