Resistance
Almost every personal (and professional) blogger I know has to fight to motivate themselves to post. So I wanted to share a couple of my reasons for resisting blog posting so completely for the last month (and a little more).
First of all, I don't take many pictures. And I don't have that much technology-savvy for the implanting of videos and such. So for this blog to be successful, I'd have to tell lots of stories - lots of text - and that's just plain boring.
Secondly, I've had some concerns recently about privacy. Now that a couple people close to me have had their personal identity tapped into, I'm a little less inclined to share my life over the web. After all, and this is not my line but something that someone else says that raised a red flag: once it goes on the web, its available for everybody. And more likely than not, its out there (somewhere) forever.
Lastly, I don't have alot to write... and don't want to spend a ton of time sharing the few stories I have in my head. Its hard to cultivate a blog so I've check out. Only cause Faust checked me did I think again about posting. Plus I know you're bored as shit at work if you've read this far down. So why not keep typing? Neither of us (you: reader, me: writer) have anything better to do. ...
-------------------------------
As usual, I had some pre-post thoughts that I've clipped as a post scriptum. To save the actual impact of the post, I put this at the bottom.
Resistance is one of those words I could write a whole post on, and end in some way that shows I'm a politicall progressive dude.
But I'm writing not about resistance to authority or the current presidential administration, I'm writing about resistance to blogging.
