The Dodgers Game

I forgot to mention that I went to Dodger Stadium last Sunday afternoon. Like most of baseball, it was pretty predictable and enjoyable.
I rode up there with Dan O, Will S, and Cynthia Y. Dan's mom had some tickets through her office. And the parking pass was included. Sweet!
After nearly hitting a family (which was walking through the parking lot) as we pulled into a space, we walked down to the Loge Level (who's ever heard of a Loge Level?), and strolled up to our seats just as the ritual pre-game throw from catcher to second baseman was taking place.
So, we got to see the first pitch and didn't miss one until the end.
The Dodgers scored in the first inning or two, but the game dragged on until the 8th, when the Dodgers had some sweet defensive plays and a couple of runs to take the lead. Their closer, Takashi Saito, murdered the Rockies in the top of the 9th and sealed the win for the home team.
After only a little bitching from Cynthia on the way back up the stairs from the Loge Level to the parking lot, we rode on home and I proceeded to have a social hangover the rest of the day (causes include: partying, playing ultimate, laughing, riding in cars with friends; symptoms include: short temper, unexplained mood swings, little to say and little desire to talk (on the phone)).
One more thing: Dodger stadium sang 'Take me out to the ball game' twice! Stupid!

Best Part about Dodger Stadium (other than the Powder Blue Wrecking Crew): Dodger Dogs.
Worst part about Dodger Stadium: It's facing the wrong direction! imagine the view of the LA skyline at night as the Boys in Blue took the field if they had a tad bit more planning into it. That and the $15 parking. Bleh.
Interesting note: The City of LA gave that land to the owner of the Brooklyn Bums absolutely free as enticement to move out here. Imagine the value of that land today...
And there is NO way that singing Take Me Out twice is lame. The nostalgic value of that song alone warrants a second round. Either that or some mighty clever product placement by a certain popcorn 'n peanut company.
Yeah Dodgers.
Since you are from atlanta, i can only assume you've never heard of a loge level because you never actually went to a braves game, like the rest of your city.
it's a baseball thing.
i was in yankee stadium this past weekend. it was a thing of beauty.
if you go to http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/atl/ballpark/seating_and_pricing.jsp like i have hundreds of times, you'll see that turner field doesn't have a silly loge level.
kyle and i and our friends go to games all the time. yankee doodle.
