News
I have three variations on the news: one from international headlines, a local story on which everyone is their own expert, and a new tool that's helping me get along in this new arrangement.
First, there are reports of Israel bombings in southern Syria that impact both Lebanese and Iranian military interests. Let's follow that in case things worsen. Sigh.
Second, the weather channel says that at least a week of 60 degree (Fahrenheit) weather is coming up. But everyone I've talked to in grocery stores and coffee shops say the winter is on its way back in a couple days. Who to trust?
Third, I've continued to use a trick I learned last year when leaving ultimate practices with dirty hands. Without tons of hand sanitizer around, I resorted to pouring water from larger bottles on one hand, then rubbing both hands together, and eventually dryng them off - probably with my pant legs.
But too much water usually ends up on the ground. And I've seen a couple people now do this thing where they only slightly open the bottle cap so that a trickle of water comes out while you tip it. An efficiency I learned in the Middle East.
