Bahrain and other Arab Protests
Reading a new york times article (there are at least half a dozen in today's paper on the Arab protests), I read this telling quote from a protester who closely witnessed the shooting of his friend in Bahrain:
"My friend, my brother, he just got shot in the head...I tried to take him, but they kept firing. He's dead, he's dead now. We were just here to demand our rights."
The light this puts between the simple demands of people and the governments' intense suppression is so bright, the whole world can see it.
