Moving

Inspired by months of living at home, I'm moving out of the nest. Again.

From Candler Park to Midtown Atlanta is only 2 miles, correction 3 miles. Map at the left shows downtown Atlanta plus the route from current home to new place (click to expand).

Aside from a new neighborhood, there's plenty to think about when moving into a place. The guys I'm moving in with have two cats and most of the place furnished. Mainly, I'm concerned with getting the right mix of bedroom furniture.

Plus, Mak's recent Crib post reminds me that its important to make an apartment cooking friendly, socially friendly (did you host the SEC championship game watch party?), and still able to fit the bare necessities, like clothes.

What I really enjoy planning is the layout for my new bedroom. Its about '14 by '14, with a little extra room around the chimney. And a little sunroom off to the side.

Here's a drawing for you (click to expand). Arrangement of the room is not set. Not even all the furniture is drawn in.
I'm still holding out for a good book-shelf and file cabinet. With a new bed-frame and maybe desk, I'll have a complete bedroom. Rocking chair and all.

I have some oak bookshelves that need a good home. Totally free, but you would need to come pick up.
Unfortunately, they are in NJ.

Yes, Jen & Forrest drove up from Maryland for the weekend! Game watching was fun except for the outcome. Looking forward to our next guest, Dr. Oetter, arriving Wednesday. Thanks for the shout out.
