LA Move Series Part 8: The End
A year or so ago, a friend of mine told me a story. A story about this old man who loses a horse, then travels to recover it and finds a wife in the meantime. Sounds like a blessing, but homeboy held onto the attitude like 'we'll see how it turns out.'
The couple have a son but the son is forced to enlist in a war. The ups and downs go on and on. And the man maintains the attitude that 'we'll see.' Like nothing can faze him but also that he knows that life's blessings are mixed in with curses and vice versa.
I feel like that's an important lesson in the last couple years. I came out here with little community - and an intimidating 14 million people to live around. Still, I had the opportunity to visit know LA's streets and met some awesome people in the meantime.
I learned alot from the work here. I learned so much from the overall experience of being broke here in the City of Angels. And now I'm moving on. I'm going back to Atlanta with a great opportunity for work but the same understanding that life takes hard work yet dishes out some oft-concealed beauty, no matter the lot you're handed.
Hasta Luego Monstourage and LA fam!

Have fun in Georgia, Ben! LA is lucky to have had you, even for such a short amount of time. Good luck in all your endeavors!
Wow! When are you moving back to the ATL?
Back to the east coast, eh? Come visit DC soon!
Ben, all the names of the places where you lived and will live remind me of many songs that were named after them.
