Back Up
Just got my apartment's internet reconnected!
It had been out since the old roommate left a couple weeks ago and the service provider screwed up the reconnection process. Now the high-speed modem, the router, and the internet options on this computer (new to me) all work. That's a pretty serious accomplishment considering I don't have much knowledge of the working of these here computer thingies.
The real significance, for tonight and possibly for future nights, is that I can write what I want when I want on this blog and in my emails. I can do more creative writing, gdub ultimate listserve style, or can draw little windows paint art of my room (see below, Bert style), or whatever I very well want.
Coming up this week: ultimate scrimmage Wed, summer league ultimate Thu, ultimate meeting and party Friday, summer league end of season tournament and party Saturday, tofu festival Sunday.
My new (as of 2 weeks ago) room here in South LA:

that blob is a reading chair... very comfortable.
right behind the blob is a mess of dirty clothes and that oscillating fan -- maybe not such a good juxtaposition...
New room? Same apartment? Moving up!! Which roommate moved out? The one with the hook-up on the dvds?
the DVD guru is still living there. i moved into the room of the Scott who left.
same apartment, new room, window facing the west (sunset :) ), and shared bathroom/hallway area.
