Thoughts as they come

There are so many less serious things to talk about on this blog than some big moral issues or some huge life-changing move as a young adult. And this post is dedicated to those things.

Like rocking chairs... what's with those? I mean, have old people really declined so drastically that they want to be cradled like a mom's arms? That makes rocking chairs sound nice. So, maybe I agree with them. But why are they associated with the south? Probably cause people with no teeth and no job live in the south, spitting at cans and screaming at shoeless kids in the dirt yard.

Speaking of dirt, I mean why do people pay for that? That makes me think of skyscrapers and all the dirt that has to be displaced in order to erect those things. How are those built anyway? This dude, Kadd, he always talked about his fear of cranes cause he didn't know how they could get that tall. And I have come into that fear and apprehension about cranes -- they don't make sense.

Do you ever type a paragraph in an email - get close to the end of the sentence and end it prematurely so that its identical to the preceding paragraph? I just did that, basically, with paragraphs 2 and 3. Symmetry - or whatever you would call that - is cool.

And so are the Braves. or Are they? They have been on the west coast for a while - taking 2 of 3 from the Dodgers; and now playing the Padres - probably beating them, too. Greg Maddux is still alive. And he's facing big-man Smoltz. That's a guaranteed Braves win cause no one that leaves an Atlanta team is going to get better than when they were in Atlanta.

Good bye

Thanks for keeping a blog! Have added it to my RSS reader. I was wondering how you'd done with the move to LA. Sounds like you've got the basics down already. I guess Ultimate has helped you put down roots fairly fast.

Alexis and I have a rocking chair. We need to upholster it in some manner, but I think it is cool. One weekend I am going to make a pitcher of lemonade, settle down in the rocker and read a book.

I like rocking chairs because its something to do. I think thats what its about, I like to try and see how hard i can rock it without making it move.

Regarding cranes im ok with them, and i dont have a fear of bridges but i legitimately want to know how they make them. that shit is crazy.

Ben what is your take on Mike Vick and the recent dog fight allegations?

rocking chairs with the wooden backs hurt. that's why i always liked going to old people's houses because their rocking chairs have pads on them. but if there are not pads, then i'm like "i don't like to sit in rocking chairs". i say it all the time i do
